What are the Landmodo Buckets?

Here at Landmodo, we have a system for classifying land; we call these our "Landmodo Buckets." These buckets will help you search between four different types of land and multiple types at once. Here is what each one of our Landmodo Buckets™ means.

What is Landmodo Bucket 1™?

Land that you can move onto immediately. Bucket 1 land is typically ready to be moved onto and used for residential purposes. Bucket 1 land can also help you identify ideal land for off-the-grid living.

One of the questions we often hear is, "Can I live on or make improvements to the land while the owner is financing the land?" The answer depends on each land seller. Some land sellers will permit it; some land sellers will not. For example, Land in Hurricane Creek Estates in TN will frequently allow it. Another factor is the local county building codes. The answer depends on several factors. The best practice is to discuss this with the landseller during the inquiry phase.

What is Landmodo Bucket 2™?

Bucket 2 properties are those properties that are better suited for moving onto in the future. Some like to refer to this phase as Long-term planning. Bucket 2 properties are great options for those planning for the future and looking for land to purchase today. These properties are traditionally residential; however, like bucket 1, they could include off-the-grid properties.

Land for recreational purposes. What you'll find within Bucket 3 are properties ready to be enjoyed through whatever recreational activity you choose. Camping, hunting, fishing, dirt biking, you name it! If you're looking for a place to have a good time, then Bucket 3 properties are for you.
